What students and their parents have said about the tuition:
“I have been going to Saima for extra support in A-level Psychology. From a student's perspective, I instantly recognized Saima's passion for teaching psychology. She acknowledges the difficulty of the subject and ensures that her teaching is delivered in a way in which that will benefit the student. Saima is a delightful tutor to work with; she makes learning psychology an enjoyable experience. During sessions, you feel comfortable asking questions when you're unsure and asking for advice when needed. The working environment with Saima allows us, as students, to try our best and reach our potential. As well as striving for high grades for her students, Saima strives for the comprehension of the content given to the student is clear.” – Mr C
“Mo is a very talented and dedicated tutor of A Level sociology. We can see that Mo is a leading academic expert in her field. The combination of her classroom, examiner and private tutoring experience sets Mo apart from other professionals. In just a few tutorial sessions, Mo was instrumental in helping our son in a huge leap in his reults ahead of his mocks and achieving an A star in one of his papers. Mo help our son tap into his ability and gain the confidence in his ability. Mo explains the core issues very clearly an in a relatable way. Importantly Mo also clearly puts the student as the centre of the way she approaches her teaching, and takes a pastoral and caring approach in her work. We are delighted with Mo’s help and would highly recommend Mo to others.” – Mrs H
“Patient and interesting lessons with great feedback. Mo provided great lessons followed by feedback and marked exam questions and provided test papers made by herself to include the new specifications. Thank you for helping my daughter through her A Level Psychology.” – Mrs S
“Mo has helped my daughter with her A Level Psychology. She was absolutely brilliant. I was the first time I had used on-line tutoring and it was hugely successful. Christina and Mo built a great relationship and Mo was wonderful for following up with emails after each session enabling both student and parent to see progress made and activities to focus on next, with very speedy replies. Would highly recommend Mo. Thank you Mo for everything :).” – Mrs B
“Mo is great. She is professional and punctual and also sensitive to my son's varying needs. He has missed a great deal of school through illness, and Mo seems to know exactly what and how she needs to teach him in order to help him catch up without overwhelming him. He understands her teaching well and she also provides plenty of resources for further independent study. My son has been very positive about Mo's lessons right from the start and I can heartily recommend her as a home tutor.” – Mrs S
“Mo has been an absolute find. Very friendly yet professional and very organised. She has really helped my daughter with her AS sociology and we will definitely be using her for the A2 as well.” – Mrs H
“I can honestly say, hands down that Mo is the best tutor I have ever had and I feel so privileged to have come across her. Being an A-level student working from home and not at school, I found it very hard to motivate myself to do the work in which I needed to do. I was sceptical to work with a tutor that I didn’t previously know from college, but it’s been the best decision I have made throughout my A-levels. Mo takes the time to sit down and listen to your needs and what you want from your tutor sessions, giving advice where needed. I found that Mo was able to ease my anxieties about my knowledge and exams as she has a very positive mentality whereby she was able to reassure me when I needed it. Mo has a lot of enthusiasm and passion for Sociology and Psychology and for me that was really helpful as it helped motivate me to work hard - plus there is nothing worse than having a tutor who appears to be bored and ambivalent towards the subject they are teaching. As well as this, I felt as though Mo was always willing to help me achieve my best as she was always at the end of an email so that I could ask questions and send essays between tutor sessions. For Mo to mark my essays and help with queries outside of our sessions really shows how she cares about her students and is something that I really appreciate. I would definitely recommend Mo as a tutor and would definitely return to her in the future. Mo has the passion, animation, knowledge and patience that all tutors should have, so overall an amazing tutor.” – Eve R
“I contacted Mo when looking for feedback regarding an assignment I was completing. Mo was really kind and encouraging and had access to materials that were really use full in helping me determine what i needed to do to meet learning outcomes. I would definitely get back in touch with Mo if i need any more help with psychology or knew any friends who needed help.” – Sarah M
“Mo is a caring and reliable tutor who nurtured my son's confidence so that he now feels able to face the exams with a positive, mental attitude. I am grateful to her for being very easy to chat to and encouraging at every turn, and as a consequence, J has improved his essay technique and is able to gauge much more confidently what is required from the questions. Results day in August will be the “acid test” but we are delighted with what Mo has achieved with our son to date.” – Jo N
Independent peer reviews for my ZigZag education resources:
“I loved it - there are so many excellent ideas for quick re caps of work or starters.”
“I really liked this resource the activities were aimed at just the right level for an introduction to the topic for A level students, and the instructions were straightforward for each of the activities.”
“I think this resource matches the new specification really well. We have been scratching our heads over the level of detail the students need to know on the Approaches and I think if they completed these activities within class and as homework they would be a great summary of the basics, which they could then build on in class and through independent study.”
“I like the focus on the evaluation skills and knowledge. The tasks allow students to develop knowledge on things like determinism and diathesis stress model, whereas I usually just introduce them as key evaluation points”
